Craig Conover is opening up about his breakup with Paige DeSorbo, expressing that, in hindsight, he would have sacrificed too much to stay in the relationship. On The Tamron Hall Show, Conover discussed his emotional journey since their split and the lessons he’s learned in the aftermath.
“I would’ve ended up losing myself [in that relationship] because I would’ve given up everything to stay with her,” Conover revealed. “So the blessing is, as we’re a couple months out, I see that now. That’s why your mood changes throughout [a breakup], you have to go through those grieving processes … it’s perspective.”
Public Fallout and Texting Allegations
The Southern Charm star also addressed the public drama that followed their breakup, including accusations from DeSorbo in a Summer House teaser, where she claimed Conover was texting other women during their relationship. Conover denied the allegations, asserting, “Any time your character is challenged, especially things that you’re proud of, it’s not great, but that’s the life we live on television.”
Conover, who maintains that he wouldn’t date anyone unless he could see a future with them, added, “I won’t date someone unless I can see myself marrying them, because there’s two outcomes if you date — you break up or you get married.”
